To show the "Then" and "Now" photos together in Flickr™, post your historical "Then" photo as a "comment" to your modern "Now" images. This step is not required for your entry to be complete.

Detailed Instructions

Our “Then & Now” category has traditionally been one of our most interesting and exciting categories. Unlike the other three categories this category requires that you have two submitted photos – a modern photo and a historical photo of the same site or object. Here’s how you would make a submission in this category:

1. Upload both your modern and historical photos to your
Flickr™ account
Follow the regular instructions to enter both photos into the contest separately, making sure to tag both images. This complete your entry; the remainder of these steps are optional and will not affect your chances of winning.

2. From the detailed photo view of the Historic photo choose the “All Sizes” menu right above the photo
This is a picture of what you will see on Flickr™:

3. Select the Small Photo (240x191) size

4. In that same window travel down to point #1 and copy all of the html from the scrolling window

5. Navigate back to your Modern photo

6. In the "Add Your Comments" section below the photo paste in the html that you previously copied

7. Save – you should see a smaller version of the Historic photo underneath the Modern
