Step 5: Add A Contest "Tag" to your Photo(s)

Step Summary
To enter a photo into a specific category (see category list) you will need to add a simple tag to your photo. Photos MUST be properly tagged to qualify for the photo contest. For each category add the following tag:

• Civil War Battlefields: CWPT08BF
• People on Civil War Battlefields: CWPT08P
• Preservation Threats: CWPT08PT
• Then & Now: CWPT08TN

Detailed Instructions

The CWPT's New Digital Photo Contest requires you to add a "tag" to each photo that you would like to include in the contest. Your entry is not complete until you finish this step. Tags in Flickr™ are simple text descriptors used to categorize your photos so that they are easier to find in the future.

1. On the photo that you would like to include in the contest, select the "Add a Tag" link on the right side of the page.
This is a picture of what you will see on Flickr™:

2. Add the appropriate CWPT contest category tag to the photo you are submitting

Civil War Battlefields: use the tag CWPT08BF
This category is for all your great photos of scenic Civil War battlefields.

People on Civil War Battlefields: use the tag CWPT08P
This category focuses on people visiting or enjoying Civil War battlefields.

Preservation Threats: use the tag CWPT08PT
Enter your photos that showcase modern threats to Civil War battlefields.

Then & Now: use the tag CWPT08TN
In this category entrants will upload a historic photo and a modern photo
of the same Civil War site. See addition instructions on how to enter Then & Now photos

Please note that while there is no limit to the number of photos you submit to the contest, you should only add one contest category tag per photo.
