Step 2: Upload Your Photos to Your Flickr™ Account

Detailed Instructions

Once you have successfully established a Flickr™ account you will then need to upload your Civil War photos to your own site.

1. Log into your Flickr™ account
Visit www.flickr.com and log in. If you just joined you will already be logged in.

2. Select the “Upload Photos or Video link” on your main page

Note that you also can select the option "Upload Photos or Video from under the "You" menu (this is a useful method of adding another photo at any time if you have navigated away from your home page).

3. Follow the simple instructions in uploading your photos. Add a title and description to your photo

Follow the instructions to add a title and description to your photo. Remember that you can go back later and change this information if necessary.

Things to keep in mind:

• To upload your photos your photos will need to be in some digital format – JPEF, GIF, or BMPs are some of the more popular digital formats.
• If you have non-digital photographs that you would like to add you will need to convert them to a digital image first.
• “Pro” level accounts can also upload video, but at this time we will only accept photos in our Group.
