Detailed Instructions

If you do not already have an active account with Flickr™ you will need to create an account with that service. Flickr™, with its more than 19 million members, is one of the most popular and easy to use photo sharing sites in the world. You can use your Flickr™ account for all your photos, not just Civil War photos

Note: If you already have a Yahoo account (ex. e-mail) the number of steps to open a free account will be greatly reduced. Visit www.yahoo.com to open account. This can also be done through the process of creating a Flickr™ account.

Opening a free Flickr™ account is easy to do:

1. Go to the Flickr™ homepage
Visit: http://www.flickr.com

2. Click on the "Create Your Account" button

3. Follow the steps in creating your Flickr™ account
You can open either a free or a “pro” level account with Flickr™. With a free
Flickr™ account you can upload photos that are up to 10MB in size. With a “Pro”
level account you can upload photos that are up to 20MB in size. Both accounts are perfectly fine for our contest.
