Melissa Meisner, CWPT's Director of Event Planning, won a spot in Convention South's Meeting Professionals To Watch In 2003. Melissa was presented this award for her outstanding professionalism, creativity, and dedication to the meetings and convention industry. ConventionSouth magazine recognizes meeting professionals whose commitment to their organizations and attendees, desire for continuing education, and knack for creative thinking have led them to success.
David Duncan, CWPT's Director of Membership and Development,
won the 2002 Silver MAXI
award for excellence in Charitable Fundraising from
the Direct Marketing Association of Washington. The
DMAW recognized David for his achievement with the
Hatcher’s Run Battlefield Appeal, containing
maps of the threatened land.
The MAXI award recognizes the 'best of the best' with
outstanding creative achievement in business to- business,
publishing, database, fund-raising and consumer DM.
Jim Campi, CWPT’s Director of Policy and Communications, received an "America's History" award for his extraordinary achievements in media relations.
CWPT's Hallowed Ground magazine, edited by Mary Goundrey Koik,
has received an APEX Award
in 2002 and 2004 for Publication Excellence.
CWPT's two websites, www.civilwar.org and www.civilwarexplorer.org received the 2004 Apex Award for Websites/Publication Excellence
